| dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, sebagai BUMN konstruksi strategis, dapat membangun sustained competitive advantage (SCA) melalui strategi dekarbonisasi. Adanya berbagai regulasi nasional dan global yang perlu diterapkan, seperti Paris Agreement, Enhanced NDC 2022, serta Peraturan Presisen (Perpres) No. 98 Tahun 2021 mengenai Penyelenggaraan Nilai Ekonomi Karbon untuk Pencapaian Target Kontribusi yang Ditetapkan Secara Nasional dan Pengendalian Emisi Gas Rumah Kaca dalam Pembangunan Nasional menuntut sektor konstruksi untuk menurunkan emisi karbon. Meskipun PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk telah menyusun Grand Roadmap ESG efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan daya saing jangka panjang masih belum terukur secara menyeluruh. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode eksploratif multiphase dengan tiga kerangka teoritis utama diterapkan dalam penelitian ini. Pertama, Flourishing Business Model Canvas (FBMC) digunakan untuk memetakan elemen keberlanjutan dalam model bisnis perusahaan. Kedua, Sustainability Balanced Scorecard (SBSC) digunakan untuk mengevaluasi strategi dari beberapa perspektif. Ketiga, strategi jangka menengah dirumuskan dengan pendekatan Natural Resource-Based View (NRBV) dan Dynamic Capabilities (DC), yang menekankan pentingnya pengelolaan sumber daya berbasis lingkungan dan kapabilitas organisasi dalam merespons dinamika eksternal. Narasumber penelitian ini terdiri atas Direktur SDM & Transformasi, Direktur Manajemen Risiko & Legal dan Direktur Keuangan. Data sekunder diperoleh dari dokumen mengenai strategi dekarbonasi PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk telah mengintegrasikan elemen keberlanjutan dalam model bisnisnya. Evaluasi menggunakan SBSC mengungkapkan kesenjangan antara strategi yang dijalankan dan target yang ditetapkan dalam NDC. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, lima strategi prioritas yang disarankan adalah digitalisasi sistem MRV dan pelaporan emisi, penerapan green procurement, ekspansi proyek circular economy, pengembangan SDM hijau dan inovasi, serta kemitraan yang berdampak sosial-lingkungan. Simpulan yang dapat diambil dari hasil penelitian meliputi hal berikut. Pertama, keberlanjutan belum sepenuhnya menjadi sumber keunggulan bersaing di PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. Kedua, strategi berbasis NRBV dan Dynamic Capabilities dinilai paling relevan untuk memperkuat posisi perusahaan dalam menghadapi tekanan transisi menuju ekonomi hijau. Implikasi manajerial yang direkomendasikan dari penelitian ini adalah, diperlukan penyusunan roadmap ESG jangka menengah yang operasional, peningkatan sistem evaluasi berbasis indikator NDC, serta benchmarking internasional untuk memperkuat daya saing global PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk di era konstruksi berkelanjutan. | - |
| dc.description.abstract | This study analyzes how PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, as a strategic state-owned construction enterprise, can build a sustained competitive advantage (SCA) through decarbonization strategies. The implementation of various national and global regulations, such as the Paris Agreement, the Enhanced NDC 2022, and Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 98 of 2021 on the Implementation of Carbon Economic Value for Achieving Nationally Determined Contribution Targets and Greenhouse Gas Emission Control in National Development, demands the construction sector to reduce carbon emissions. Although PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk has formulated an ESG Grand Roadmap, its effectiveness in enhancing long-term competitiveness remains insufficiently measured. This study adopts a qualitative approach with an exploratory multiphase method, employing three main theoretical frameworks. First, the Flourishing Business Model Canvas (FBMC) is used to map sustainability elements within the company’s business model. Second, the Sustainability Balanced Scorecard (SBSC) is applied to evaluate the strategy from multiple perspectives. Third, medium-term strategies are formulated using the Natural Resource-Based View (NRBV) and Dynamic Capabilities (DC) approaches, emphasizing the importance of environmentally-based resource management and the organization’s ability to respond to external dynamics. The primary data was collected from interviews with the Director of Human Capital & Transformation, the Director of Risk Management & Legal, and the Director of Finance. Secondary data was obtained from documents related to the decarbonization strategy of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. The results indicate that PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk has integrated sustainability elements into its business model. The evaluation using SBSC revealed a gap between the implemented strategies and the targets set in the NDC. Based on these findings, five priority strategies are recommended: digitalization of the MRV and emissions reporting systems, implementation of green procurement, expansion of circular economy projects, development of green human resources and innovation, and the establishment of socially and environmentally impactful partnerships. The conclusions drawn from this study are as follows. First, sustainability has not yet fully become a source of competitive advantage at PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. Second, strategies based on NRBV and DC are deemed the most relevant to strengthen the company’s position in facing the transition toward a green economy. The managerial implications recommended by this study include the need for an operational medium-term ESG roadmap, enhancement of evaluation systems based on NDC indicators, and international benchmarking to reinforce the global competitiveness in the era of sustainable construction. | - |
