Abstract: Scindapsus merupakan tanaman hias dari famili Araceae yang populer karena keunikan morfologi dan nilai estetikanya. Pertumbuhan yang relatif lambat lambatnya adaptasi pada lingkungan tumbuh baru merupakan tantangan dalam budidaya Scindapsus komersial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas aplikasi pupuk kimia (Calnit atau NP) dan kombinasinya dengan mikoriza dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan tiga kultivar Scindapsus yang berasal dari Kalimantan Barat. Penelitian dilaksanakan di greenhouse Kebun Percobaan Leuwikopo IPB dengan menggunakan Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap dua faktor, terdiri atas tiga kultivar dan empat perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi mikoriza dan pupuk NP dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan jumlah daun dan ruas batang hingga minggu ke-12 setelah perlakuan pada ketiga kultivar Scindapsus, jumlah daun meningkat 39% dan jumlah ruas meningkat 23% dibandingkan kontrol. Scindapsus treubii ‘Dark Form’ menunjukkan respons pertumbuhan jumlah daun terbaik secara konsisten dibandingkan S. pictus ‘Silver Hero’ dan S. pictus ‘Silver Lady’. Kombinasi antara pupuk kimia dan mikoriza dapat mengoptimalkan pertumbuhan vegetatif Scindapsus dan mempercepat waktu tanam hingga mencapai stadia siap jual.
Scindapsus is an ornamental plant from the Araceae family that is popular due to its unique morphology and aesthetic value. Its relatively slow growth and slow adaptation to new growing environments pose challenges for commercial cultivation of Scindapsus. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of chemical fertilizer application (Calnit or NP) and their combination with mycorrhiza in improving the growth of three Scindapsus cultivars originating from West Kalimantan. The research was conducted in the greenhouse of the Leuwikopo Experimental Garden at IPB using a two-factor Completely Randomized Group Design, consisting of three cultivars and four treatments. The results showed that the combination of mycorrhiza and NP fertilizer could increase the growth in leaf number and stem internodes up to the 12th week after treatment for all three Scindapsus cultivars, with leaf number increasing by 39% and internode number by 23% compared to the control. Scindapsus treubii ‘Dark Form’ consistently exhibited the best growth response in leaf number compared to S. pictus ‘Silver Hero’ and S. pictus ‘Silver Lady’. The combination of chemical fertilizer and mycorrhiza can optimize the vegetative growth of Scindapsus and accelerate the planting period to reach market-ready stages.
