Abstract: Ikan lele ekor merah merupakan salah satu komoditas ikan hias air tawar dengan prospek tinggi.
Red-tailed catfish is one of the freshwater ornamental fish commodities with high prospects. However, there are still obstacles in the form of suboptimal production, especially in egg hatching activities and abnormal levels in fish seeds. Based on this, the implementation of this applied research aims to carry out the egg hatching process at different temperatures. Egg hatching starts from egg incubation to larval maintenance and abnormality checking. Eggs are hatched at different temperatures in the range of 26–30 °C. The results of observations showed that egg hatching at a temperature of 26 °C produced a hatching rate of 89,5±0,87%, a survival rate of 83,7±1,38%, a length uniformity coefficient of 10,1±0,27%, and abnormalities of 1,3±0,24%. The application of a low temperature of 26 °C resulted in better egg performance and larval performance than a high temperature of 30 °C but did not affect abnormalities. Hatching of red-tailed catfish eggs starting from egg incubation given a low temperature of 26 °C showed better production performance results.
