| Abstract: | Ikan koridoras julii Corydoras julii merupakan salah satu ikan hias air tawar yang sangat diminati oleh para pedagang baik lokal maupun ekspor. Kendala yang dihadapi oleh para pembudidaya adalah produktivitas telur yang belum maksimal. Hal ini diduga karena penggunaan substrat yang belum tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan substrat yang paling efektif untuk pemijahan ikan koridoras julii. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan yang diuji meliputi perlakuan tanpa menggunakan substrat (K), menggunakan substrat tali rafia (T), menggunakan substrat pipa PVC (P) dan menggunakan substrat Hydrilla (H). Produktivitas telur tertinggi dihasilkan pada perlakuan substrat pipa PVC (P) sebesar 2081 ± 125,83 butir. Perbedaan substrat tidak mempengaruhi derajat pembuahan, derajat penetasan dan sintasan. Kualitas air selama proses pemijahan berada dalam rentang optimal untuk pemijahan induk. Pemberian substrat pipa PVC
(P) menjadi substrat paling efektif untuk pemijahan induk ikan koridoras julii karena terbukti dapat meningkatkan produktivitas telur ikan koridoras julii Corydoras julii is a freshwater ornamental fish species highly favored by both local and international traders. However, breeders often face challenges related to suboptimal egg productivity, which is suspected to be caused by the use of inappropriate spawning substrates. This study aimed to determine the most effective substrate for the spawning of Corydoras julii. The research employed a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of four treatments and three replications. The treatments included no substrate (K), raffia string (T), PVC pipe (P) and Hydrilla (H). The highest egg productivity was observed in the PVC pipe treatment (P), with a mean of 2081±125.83 eggs. Differences in substrate type did not significantly affect fertilization rate, hatching rate, or survival rate. Water quality parameters remained within the optimal range for spawning throughout the experiment.
