dc.description.abstractPembangunan pabrik pengolahan porang menjadi glukomanan, pati, dan serat merupakan peluang bagus dalam dunia industri, potensi pasar ekspor yang tinggi serta ketergantungan nasional terhadap impor produk glukomanan. Proyek ini bertujuan merancang proses produksi terintegrasi dan efisien dengan kapasitas input bahan baku 5 ton umbi porang per jam, menghasilkan tiga produk utama bernilai ekonomi. Metode penelitian meliputi eksplorasi awal, pendefinisian masalah, pengembangan prototipe proses melalui uji laboratorium dan analisis proksimat, serta evaluasi kelayakan finansial menggunakan indikator Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Benefit-Cost Ratio (B/C), dan Payback Period (PBP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perancangan pabrik mampu menghasilkan glukomanan bermutu tinggi, dengan NPV sebesar Rp42,8 miliar, IRR 23%, B/C ratio 1,89, dan waktu pengembalian modal 5,37 tahun, menandakan proyek sangat layak secara ekonomi. Analisis sensitivitas mengungkap bahwa perubahan pendapatan dan biaya operasional sangat berpengaruh pada kelayakan finansial.-
dc.description.abstractThe construction of a porang processing plant into glucomannan, starch, and fiber presents a promising opportunity in the industrial sector, supported by a high export market potential and the nation’s reliance on imported glucomannan products. This project aims to design an integrated and efficient production process with a raw material input capacity of 5 tons of porang tubers per hour, producing three main products with significant economic value. The research methods include initial exploration, problem definition, process prototype development through laboratory testing and proximate analysis, as well as financial feasibility evaluation using Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Benefit-Cost Ratio (B/C), and Payback Period (PBP) indicators. The results indicate that the plant design is capable of producing high-quality glucomannan, with an NPV of IDR 42,8 billion, IRR of 23%, B/C ratio of 1,89, and a payback period of 5,37 years, signifying that the project is highly feasible economically. Sensitivity analysis reveals that changes in revenue and operating costs have a significant impact on financial feasibility.-
