dc.description.abstractMotor diesel telah lama menjadi pilihan utama di berbagai sektor industri termasuk pada kendaraan angkutan pertanian, namun efisiensi energi dan konsumsi bahan bakar masih menjadi tantangan signifikan. Salah satu pendekatan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah penambahan Ultra Fine Bubble (UFB) pada bahan bakar diesel, yang bertujuan memperbaiki karakteristik fisik dan meningkatkan efisiensi pembakarannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh UFB pada bahan bakar Pertamina Dex dan B40 terhadap kualitas bahan bakar dan kinerja motor diesel. Hasil uji karakteristik menunjukkan bahwa nilai kalor Pertamina Dex meningkat dari 43,73 MJ/kg menjadi 45,68 MJ/kg, dan B40 dari 42,46 MJ/kg menjadi 42,94 MJ/kg. Angka setana juga naik, disertai penurunan lubrisitas, dan peningkatan nilai kalor. Pengujian performa menggunakan chassis dynamometer menunjukkan peningkatan daya dan torsi maksimum. Pertamina Dex UFB menghasilkan daya 95,68 kW dan torsi 344,18 Nm, serta menurunkan konsumsi bahan bakar spesifik (SFC) dari 42,25 menjadi 39,82 g/kWh. Selain itu, konsumsi bahan bakar dalam satuan l/100 km juga turun secara signifikan, dengan efisiensi rata-rata penurunan hingga 4,85%. Pada B40, SFC menurun dari 44,99 menjadi 43,75 g/kWh dengan rata-rata penurunan konsumsi hingga 1,73%. Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa UFB mampu meningkatkan kinerja motor diesel dan efisiensi pembakaran secara nyata.-
dc.description.abstractDiesel engines have long been the primary choice across various industrial sectors, including agricultural transport vehicles. However, energy efficiency and fuel consumption remain significant challenges. One approach to address these issues is the application of Ultra Fine Bubble (UFB) technology to diesel fuel, which aims to enhance physical fuel properties and improve combustion efficiency. This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of UFB treatment on Pertamina Dex and B40 fuels in relation to fuel quality and diesel engine performance. The fuel characterization tests showed that the calorific value of Pertamina Dex increased from 43.73 MJ/kg to 45.68 MJ/kg, and B40 from 42.46 MJ/kg to 42.94 MJ/kg. The cetane number also increased, accompanied by a reduction in sulfur content and lubricity. Performance testing using chassis dynamometer indicated improvements in maximum power and torque. Pertamina Dex UFB produced 95.68 kW of power and 344.18 Nm of torque, while reducing specific fuel consumption (SFC) from 42.25 to 39.82 g/kWh. In addition, fuel consumption in L/100 km decreased significantly, with an average reduction in efficiency of up to 4.85%. For B40, SFC decreased from 44.99 to 43.75 g/kWh, with an average consumption reduction of 1.73%. These results demonstrated that UFB can significantly improve diesel engine performance and fuel efficiency.-
