Percobaan dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan IPB, Cikarawang A, Dramaga, Bogor,
kadar kalium tajuk tanaman, bobot basah tanaman, bobot kering tanaman, bobot
total polong per petak bersih, indeks panen, produktivitas polong, dan kadar
isoflavon.
Edamame soybean (Glycine max L.) is a legume crop with high nutritional value and promising potential as an export commodity. However, its productivity cannot yet fulfil the demand. Chicken manure, which is rich in nitrogen and phosphorus, and humic acid, known for enhancing nutrient availability and soil quality, are organic inputs that have shown their potential in improving edamame’s yields and isoflavones. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of chicken manure, humic acid, and their interaction on edamame growth, productivity, and isoflavone content. The experiment was conducted from May to September 2024 at the IPB Experimental Station, Cikarawang A, Dramaga, Bogor, using a factorial randomized complete block design with two factors and three replications. The first factor was chicken manure at 0, 8, 16, and 24 ton ha?¹, and the second factor was humic acid at 0, 30, 60, and 90 kg ha?¹. The results showed that the interaction of 8 ton ha?¹ chicken manure and 90 kg ha?¹ humic acid significantly increased number of flowers, number of productive nodes, root length, relative growth rate (RGR), total plant phosphorus content, total plant potassium content, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight, total pod weight per net plot, harvest index, pod productivity, and isoflavone content. Chicken manure at 9,5 ton ha-1 and humic acid 90 kg ha-1 were the optimum doses to significantly increase pod yield. Meanwhile, the best doses for significantly enhancing isoflavone content were 8 ton ha-1 of chicken manure and 60 kg ha-1 of humic acid. This study highlights the potential of organic inputs to improve edamame growth and yield to meet market demands. |
