K AHMAD IMAM SYAMIL. Pengukuran Respon Suhu Permukaan Tubuh Sapi PO Terhadap Perubahan Mikroklimat Menggunakan Kamera Termal Inframerah.
T AHMAD IMAM SYAMIL Measurement of Surface Body Temperature Response of Ongole Crossbreed Cattle to Microclimate Changes Using an Infrared Thermal Camera. Supervised by KOEKOEH SANTOSO and Rr. SOESATYORATIH This study aimed to determine the responses of Ongole Crossbred (PO) cattle to changes in microclimate based on body surface temperature measured using an infrared thermal camera. The research was conducted at the Production Rehabilitation Unit, School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical, IPB University, at three different times of the day: morning, afternoon, and evening. Observed parameters included surface temperatures around the rectal area, chest, eyes, muzzle, legs, and flank using an infrared thermal camera. The results showed that the surface temperatures of the cattle varied across different body regions and significantly increased during the afternoon compared to the morning and evening. This increase in body surface temperature is a physiological response to heat stress from the environment. The thermal camera proved effective in identifying the distribution and changes in temperature across various body regions of the cattle in accordance with microclimate changes, thus serving as a non-invasive method for detecting changes in body surface temperature.-
