Abstract: Hypothenemus hampei menjadi masalah industri kopi akibat kerugian yang besar.
Hypothenemus hampei poses a significant problem for the coffee industry, causing losses. Numerous efforts, including the use of biological control agents, have been made to mitigate the impact of these attacks. This study employed meta-analysis, a quantitative method for summarizing diverse research findings on a single topic, to evaluate the effectiveness, and efficiency of biological control agents against H. hampei on coffee. The analysis reviewed 137 international peer-reviewed articles published 2014-2024. To enhance the relevance of the results, subgroup analysis was conducted based on treatment, organism group, life stage, country, and land type. Fungal groups, particularly Beauveria bassiana, demonstrated the greatest influence on H. hampei mortality rates during the pupal stage. Monoculture lands exhibited higher H. hampei mortality compared to agroforestry systems. This may be attributed to the global dominance of monoculture plantations, especially in the United States, which reported the most effective and efficient biological control agents.
