This study aimed to determine the productivity of Pinus merkusii resin in fully tapped stands and to analyze the effect of quarre size and stimulant type on resin productivity. The research was conducted on fully tapped stands in age class X at RPH Cipayung, BKPH Bogor. A factorial experimental design was employed with two factors: quarre size (2 cm, 3 cm, and 4 cm) and stimulant type (control, Etrat, SR-25, and Etrat + 5% H2SO4), each with 10 replications. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and Tukey’s test at the 95% confidence level. The results showed that both quarre size and stimulant type had a highly significant effect on resin productivity. The 4 cm quarre size yielded the highest average production of 6.28 g/quarre/day, followed by 3 cm (4.67 g/quarre/day) and 2 cm (4.24 g/quarre/day). Among the stimulants, SR-25 produced the highest average yield of 6.62 g/quarre/day, followed by Etrat + H2SO4 (6.27 g/quarre/day), Etrat (4.96 g/quarre/day), and the control (2.39 g/quarre/day). The combination of a 3 cm quarre size with Etrat + H2SO4 is recommended as the optimal treatment, as it offers a balance between productivity, tree sustainability, and field practicality. |
