Abstract: Penelitian ini didasari oleh kebutuhan pupuk alternatif dalam budidaya hidroponik untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas hasil tanaman selada hijau. Tujuan penelitian ini mengevaluasi pengaruh pupuk kasgot terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman, kadar vitamin C, fenolik, flavonoid total, dan kapasitas antioksidan pada selada hijau. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengujian kadar vitamin C, fenolik, flavonoid total, dan kapasitas antioksidan adalah titrasi iodometri, Folin-Ciocalteau, kolorimetri AlCl3, dan metode FRAP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan AB mix memiliki pertumbuhan tanaman terbaik dengan tinggi rata-rata sebesar 29,64 cm dan jumlah daun 17 helai. Kadar vitamin C, fenolik dan flavonoid tertinggi terdapat pada selada dengan pemberian pupuk kasgot 150 g dalam 10 L air (dosis 3) sebesar 17,61 mg/100 g, 5.626 ± 0.021 mg GAE/g BK dan 4.667 ± 0.005 mg QE/g BK. Hasil kapasitas antioksidan tertinggi adalah selada hijau dosis 1 (50 g pupuk kasgot dalam 10 L air) sebesar 78.300 ± 0.019 µmol TE/g BK atau 44.941 ± 0.019 µmol AAE/g BK. Simpulan penelitian ini bahwa pertumbuhan selada hijau hidroponik optimal dengan perlakuan pupuk AB mix. Aplikasi pupuk kasgot meningkatkan kadar vitamin C, fenolik, flavonoid total dan kapasitas antioksidan selada hijau dibandingkan dengan penggunaan pupuk AB mix.
This research addresses for alternative fertilizers in hydroponic to enhance both the quality and quantity of green lettuce yields. Objective of this study is to evaluate impact of kasgot fertilizer on the growth of green lettuce, as well as on its vitamin C, phenolic, flavonoid content, and antioxidant capacity. The method used in vitamin C, phenolics, flavonoid total and antioxidant capacity assessment are iodometric titration, Folin-Ciocalteau, colorimetry AlCl3, and FRAP method. Result research indicated that AB mix treatment resulted in optimal plant growth, with an average height 29.64 cm and 17 leaves. Lettuce samples treated with 150 gs kasgot fertilizer in 10 liters water (dose 3) have vitamin C, phenolic, and flavonoid concentrations of 17.61 mg/100g, 5,626±0,021 mgGAE/g DW and 4,667±0.005 mgQE/g DW. Highest antioxidant capacity result was green lettuce treated with dose 1 (50 g kasgot in 10 L water) at 78,300±0,019 µmolTE/g DW or 44,941±0,019 µmolAAE/g DW. In conclusion, this study suggests that optimal conditions for hydroponic green lettuce growth are achieved through application of AB mix fertilizer. Moreover, kasgot fertilizer has been shown to enhance levels of vitamin C, phenolic compounds, total flavonoids, and antioxidant capacity in hydroponic green lettuce compared with application AB mix fertilizer.
