Abstract: Kopi Arabika merupakan komoditas unggul tetapi produktivitasnya rendah karena pengelolaan yang belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh perbedaan intensitas radiasi matahari dan interval penyiraman berbeda terhadap efisiensi pemanfaatan radiasi matahari dan pertumbuhan bibit kopi Arabika varietas Gayo 3 pada fase pembibitan. Penelitian dilakukan di BSIP TRI, Parungkuda, Sukabumi pada Januari hingga Desember 2024 menggunakan metode rancangan petak terpisah (Split Plot) dengan kombinasi empat tingkat naungan (25%, 50%, 75%, dan 90%) dan empat interval penyiraman (2, 4, 6, dan 8 hari sekali). Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, panjang, lebar, jumlah daun, diameter batang, dan bobot kering. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa intensitas radiasi sebesar 3,6 MJ/m²/hari pada naungan 75% dengan penyiraman 4 hari sekali memberikan nilai pertumbuhan tertinggi dan efisiensi pemanfaatan radiasi tertinggi terjadi pada intensitas radiasi 2,1 MJ/m²/hari pada naungan 90%. Nilai RUE tertinggi tercatat pada naungan 90% sebesar 2,05 g/MJ. Perlakuan naungan tinggi memiliki intensitas radiasi yang lebih rendah sehingga meningkatkan luas daun dan LAI, serta memperbesar intersepsi radiasi dan akumulasi biomassa. Kombinasi naungan dan penyiraman yang tepat dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pemanfaatan radiasi dan keberhasilan pembibitan kopi Arabika Gayo 3.
Arabica coffee is a plantation commodity with high potential, but its productivity in Indonesia remains low due to suboptimal management practices. This study aimed to analyze the effects of varying solar radiation intensities and watering intervals on the efficiency of solar radiation utilization and the growth of Gayo 3 Arabica Coffee seedlings during the nursery phase. The experiment was conducted at the Badan Standarisasi Instrumen Pertanian (BSIP), Parungkuda, Sukabumi, from January until December 2024. A split-plot design was applied, combining four shading levels (25%, 50%, 75%, and 90%) with four watering intervals (every 2, 4, 6, and 8 days). Growth parameters observed included plant height, leaf length, leaf width, leaf number, stem diameter, and dry weight. The results showed that a radiation intensity of 3,6 MJ/m²/day under 75% shade with watering every four days produced the highest growth rate, while the highest radiation use efficiency was achieved at a radiation intensity of 2,1 MJ/m²/day under 90% shade. The highest RUE value, 2,05 g/MJ, was recorded under 90% shade. High-shade treatments resulted in lower radiation intensity, which increased leaf area and LAI, thereby enhancing radiation interception and biomass accumulation. The appropriate combination of shading and watering can improve radiation use efficiency and the success rate of Gayo 3 Arabica Coffee seedling development.
