Incision wounds are a type of wound caused by sharp objects, and linot honey, produced by stingless bees, is known for its therapeutic properties including antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory effects, as well as being a natural moisturizer for wound healing applications. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of linot honey in accelerating the healing of skin incision wounds in rats through macroscopic and microscopic observations. Thirty Sprague-Dawley rats were used in this study and were divided into four treatment groups: a negative control group (untreated wound), a positive control group (wound treated with bioplacenton), treatment 1 (wound treated with 75% linot honey), and treatment 2 (wound treated with 100% linot honey). The treatment was administered once daily for seven days. The results showed that the administration of linot honey, at both 75% and 100% concentrations, had a significant effect on the reduction of remaining wound length, wound area, histopathological variable scoring, and increased collagen density (P<0.05). Furthermore, on observation days 3 and 5, the efficacy of 75% linot honey was comparable to the positive control group. Ultimately, on day 7, the 100% linot honey group demonstrated the most optimal results, proving effective in accelerating wound closure and tissue regeneration.-
