| Abstract: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dinamika populasi gulma dan
faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi dominansi gulma pada berbagai umur tanaman
kelapa sawit. Penelitian dilakukan di Divisi IV PT Buluh Cawang Plantation,
Sumatera Selatan, pada tiga kelompok umur tanaman: 5 tahun (TM 2), 10 tahun
(TM 7), dan 14 tahun (TM 11). Data diperoleh melalui metode analisis vegetasi
menggunakan kuadrat 1x1 meter, serta pengukuran parameter abiotik seperti suhu,
kelembapan udara, dan pH tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umur
tanaman berpengaruh signifikan terhadap dominansi gulma. Gulma Axonopus
compressus mendominasi pada umur 5 tahun dan 10 tahun, sedangkan pada umur
14 tahun dominansi bergeser ke Cynodon dactylon. Faktor lingkungan seperti suhu
dan kelembapan udara juga terbukti berperan penting dalam menentukan jenis
gulma yang mendominasi. Pengetahuan ini penting untuk merancang strategi
pengendalian gulma yang spesifik berdasarkan umur tanaman dan kondisi
mikroklimat lahan. This study aims to analyze weed population dynamics and the factors influencing weed dominance at various oil palm growth stages. The research was conducted in Division IV of PT Buluh Cawang Plantation, South Sumatra, focusing on three plant age groups: 5 years, 10 years, and 14 years. Data were collected using vegetation analysis through 1x1 meter quadrats and abiotic measurements such as temperature, air humidity, and soil pH. The results showed that plant age significantly affects weed dominance. Axonopus compressus dominated in 5 and 10 years, while 14 years, the dominance shifted to Cynodon dactylon. Environmental factors like temperature and air humidity also played crucial roles in determining the dominant weed species. This information is essential for designing age-specific and environmentally tailored weed control strategies. |
