Water changes in Oscar fish (Astronotus ocellatus) cultivation at Vizan Farm have not been optimal in terms of water and labor usage so that the resulting production and business performance are not optimal. This study aims to measure production performance and business performance in Oscar fish cultivation at Vizan Farm, Depok. This study used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with nine treatments without replication. The treatments given were water changes every one, three, and five days with a volume of 50%, 75%, and 100% of the maintenance media. Oscar fish with an average length of 1.78 ± 0.07 cm and an average weight of 0.60 ± 0.06 g were maintained for 28 days in a 0.9 × 0.35 × 0.4 m3 aquarium, fed with silkworms (Oligochaeta aquatica) ad satiation. The water of the oscar fish maintenance was siphoned and replaced according to the treatment and measured daily in situ and once a week ex situ. The highest productivity occurred in the treatment of water replacement every three days with a replacement volume of 100%, which was 18,400 fish per year with a profit of Rp212.314.664 per year, HPP of Rp1,854 per fish, R/C of 2.04, and PP of 0.52 years or 6 months 10 days. Water changes every three days with a 100% change volume resulted in the best production and business performance in Oscar fish cultivation at Vizan Farm. |
