dc.description.abstractKabupaten Trenggalek merupakan salah satu daerah penghasil cengkih (Syzygium aromaticum) di Jawa Timur. Indonesia merupakan negara penghasil cengkih terbesar di dunia pada tahun 2018. Tegakan cengkih berpotensi dalam menyimpan karbon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menduga i) kerapatan vegetasi, ii) komposisi, struktur tegakan, nilai simpanan karbon, serta iii) membangun korelasi antara nilai Forest Canopy Density (FCD) dengan jumlah jenis, LBDS (luas bidang dasar), kerapatan tegakan, simpanan karbon pada tegakan cengkih di Dillem Wilis, Kabupaten Trenggalek, Jawa Timur. Penelitian dilakukan dengan membuat peta kerapatan menggunakan FCD, merisalah vegetasi dalam plot berukuran 50 m x 50 m (12 plot), serta mengestimasi simpanan karbon menggunakan metode destruktif dan non destruktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan FCD terdiri atas tiga kelas, yakni kelas 1 (0 - 43,37%), kelas 2 (43,37 - 59,02%), dan kelas 3 (59,02 - 83,15%). Tanaman yang ditemukan berjumlah 14 jenis dengan dominasi cengkih. Struktur horizontal tegakan di dominasi pada tingkat pertumbuhan tiang berdasarkan jumlah individu per luas. Total nilai simpanan karbon yaitu 130,41 ton dengan rata-rata 43,47 ton/ha. Nilai LBDS dan FCD berkorelasi positif dengan simpanan karbon. Nilai FCD dapat digunakan untuk mengestimasi simpanan karbon dengan model simpanan karbon = 0,2782FCD - 3,1736.-
dc.description.abstractTrenggalek Regency is one of the clove (Syzygium aromaticum) producing regions in East Java. Indonesia was the world's largest clove producer in 2018. Clove stands have significant potential for carbon storage. This study aims to: i) estimate vegetation density, ii) analyze species composition, stand structure, and carbon stock, and iii) develope the correlation between Forest Canopy Density (FCD) values and species richness, basal area (LBDS), stand density, and carbon stock in clove stands in Dillem Wilis, Trenggalek Regency. The research was conducted by generating a canopy density map using FCD, conducting vegetation surveys within 12 plots measuring 50 m × 50 m, and estimating carbon stocks using both destructive and non-destructive methods. The results showed that FCD was divided into three classes: class 1 (0 - 43,37%), class 2 (43,37 - 59,02%), and class 3 (59,02 - 83,15%). A total of 14 plant species were recorded, with clove as the dominant species. The horizontal structure of the stand is dominated at the pole stage based on the number of individuals per unit area. The total carbon stock was 130,41 tons, with an average of 43,47 tons/ha. Both LBDS and FCD values were positively correlated with carbon stock. FCD values can be used to estimate carbon stock using the model carbon stock = 0,2782FCD - 3,1736.-
