| dc.description.abstract | Duckweed (Lemna sp.) is an aquatic plant that has potential as an alternative fish feed with high nutrient content. This study aims to determine the effect of adding duckweed with dry and wet methods combined in feed on tilapia growth rate. The study was conducted for 60 days using a completely randomized design with 3 feed treatments namely control, DK (addition of 15% dry duckweed), DB (addition of 15% wet duckweed) with three replicates each. The results showed that the addition of duckweed, both dry and wet, did not significantly affect the growth rate of tilapia. However, the wet duckweed treatment gave the best results on survival and feed consumption. In terms of histology, the dry duckweed treatment showed higher villi height (TV) and larger absorption area (LAP) than the wet duckweed. Although there was no significant effect on growth rate, the addition of wet duckweed increased survival and feed consumption, which was more economical. Meanwhile, dried duckweed has the potential to improve intestinal histology structure. Duckweed can be used as an alternative feed ingredient that supports more efficient tilapia farming. | |
