Arabica coffee production in Indonesia often faces declines due to pest infestations that adversely affect both yield quality and quantity. This study aimed to analyze the influence of bottle color, attractant type, and trap duration on pest attraction in Afdeling Kayumas. A Completely Randomized Block Design (CRBD) was employed with three factors: attractant type (control, Koptan, 96% ethanol, 99% methanol), bottle color (yellow, orange, blue), and trap duration (1–3 weeks), totaling 108 experimental units. The results showed that all three factors, both individually and in combination, had significant effects on the number of insects captured—particularly the combination of 96% ethanol (A2), orange-colored bottles (W2), and a two-week trapping duration (M2). This study confirms that the integration of physical and chemical factors in trap design can enhance the effectiveness of mechanical, environmentally friendly pest control in Arabica coffee plantations. |
