dc.description.abstractPemuliaan kacang tanah (Arachis hypogaea L.) memerlukan informasi genetik yang akurat untuk memperoleh genotipe unggul. Penelitian ini bertujuan menduga parameter genetik serta mengidentifikasi segregan transgresif pada dua populasi F2 hasil persilangan Pelanduk x Banteng dan Biawak x Panter. Penelitian dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Cikarawang IPB University menggunakan rancangan tanam sederhana dengan pengamatan terhadap karakter kuantitatif. Parameter genetik yang dianalisis meliputi analisis ragam, heritabilitas arti luas, aksi dan jumlah gen, diferensial seleksi, serta korelasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar karakter memiliki rataan yang lebih rendah dibandingkan kedua tetua, namun dengan standar deviasi dan jangkauan yang luas. Nilai koefisien keragaman genetik dan heritabilitas tinggi menunjukkan potensi seleksi yang baik. Analisis skewness dan kurtosis menunjukkan aksi gen terbanyak adalah dominan dan epistasis komplementer pada populasi Pelanduk x Banteng, semua jenis aksi gen kecuali epistasis duplikat pada populasi Biawak x Panter, serta distribusi gen dari sedikit hingga banyak. Bobot brangkasan tidak berkorelasi dengan tinggi tanaman, dan jumlah polong isi berkorelasi dengan jumlah dan bobot polong dan biji. Seleksi berdasarkan karakter bobot brangkasan basah dan jumlah polong isi berhasil mengidentifikasi individu-individu terseleksi, dan ditemukan beberapa individu F2 yang menunjukkan ekspresi karakter melampaui rataan tetua terbaiknya (segregan transgresif). Temuan ini penting sebagai dasar seleksi lanjut menuju perbaikan varietas unggul kacang tanah.-
dc.description.abstractPeanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) breeding requires genetic information to obtain superior genotypes. This study aimed to estimate genetic parameters and identify transgressive segregants in two F2 populations derived from the Pelanduk x Banteng and Biawak x Panter crosses. The research was conducted at the Cikarawang Experimental Field of IPB University using a simple planting design with observations on quantitative traits. The analyzed genetic parameters included variance components, broad-sense heritability, gene action and number, selection differential, and trait correlations. The results showed that most traits had lower means than both parents, yet exhibited wide standard deviations and ranges. High coefficients of genetic variation and broad-sense heritability, indicating good selection potential. Skewness and kurtosis analysis revealed most traits are controlled by the dominant and complementary epistasis gene action in the Pelanduk x Banteng population, while in the Biawak x Panter population, all types of gene actions except duplicate epistasis were observed, with gene distributions ranging from oligogenic to polygenic. Biomass weight was not correlated with plant height, while the number of filled pods was positively correlated with pod and seed number and weight. Selection based on fresh biomass weight and number of filed pods successfully identified selected individuals, including several F2 individuals that exhibited transgressive segregation, traits surpassing those of their parents. These findings provide an important foundation for further selection toward the development of improved peanut varieties.-
