Abstract: Cordyceps (Cordyceps militaris) memiliki banyak manfaat dalam dunia kesehatan, tetapi dalam penggunaannya, diperlukan uji dalam menentukan keamanannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan informasi mengenai potensi, gejala toksik, dan tingkat toksisitas akut infusa jamur Cordyceps pada mencit dalam bentuk nilai LD50. Mencit sebanyak 20 ekor dibagi menjadi kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan dengan dosis 1, 5, 10, dan 15 g/kgBB. Kelompok perlakuan diberikan infusa jamur Cordyceps secara peroral dalam waktu 24 jam. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan tidak ada kematian yang terjadi. Pengamatan gejala klinis, respons fisiologis, dan bobot badan mencit menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan nyata (p>0,05) antar kelompok perlakuan. Namun, hasil perhitungan terhadap bobot organ absolut dan bobot organ relatif menunjukkan ada perbedaan nyata (p<0,05) pada organ hati dan ginjal. Infusa jamur Cordyceps tidak menyebabkan kematian, gejala toksisitas yang signifikan, ataupun perubahan makroskopis organ sehingga masuk ke dalam kategori praktis tidak toksik.
Cordyceps (Cordyceps militaris) has many health benefits, but its use requires testing to determine its safety. This study aims to provide information on the potential, toxic symptoms, and acute toxicity levels of Cordyceps mushroom infusion in mice in the form of LD50 values. Twenty mice were divided into control groups and treatment groups with doses of 1, 5, 10, and 15 g/kgBW. Mice in the treatment group were given Cordyceps mushroom infusion orally within 24 hours. The test results showed no deaths. Observations of clinical symptoms, physiological responses, and body weight of mice showed no significant differences (p>0.05) between treatment groups. However, the calculation results of absolute organ weight and relative organ weight and macroanatomy showed significant differences (p<0.05) in the liver and kidney organs. Cordyceps mushroom infusion did not cause death, significant toxicity symptoms, or macroscopic changes in organs so it included as practically non-toxic category.
