Research on bird ecotourism planning was motivated by the unavailability of data on the distribution of bird species and research on the potential diversity of bird species on small islands in the southern part of Bintan Regency on Mantang Island, Senjolong Island, Kelong Island, Foto Island and Buton Island which are included in Mantang and Bintan Pesisir Districts, the research was carried out from November to December 2024. This study aims to identify habitat types, populations, and bird species and their ranges, and analyze the relationship between bird species potential and ethno-ornithology. Bird habitat data were collected through direct observation using the IPA (Index Point of Abundance) method and ethno-ornithological data were collected through observation and interviews. Habitat types found were mangrove forests, mixed forests, mixed gardens, former mines, swamps, beaches and human settlements. The results showed that the dominating species of the Sub-order passeriformes, with high habitat diversity found in swamp areas.
