bakteri Aeromonas hydrophila. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan rancangan
acak lengkap (RAL) dengan lima perlakuan, yaitu K- (kontrol negatif), K+ (kontrol
positif), C100, C150, dan C200 yang masing-masing mengandung citral sebanyak
0, 100, 150, dan 200 mg/kg pakan. Parameter yang diamati adalah parameter
fisiologis dan performa pertumbuhan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dengan
dosis citral 100 mg/kg memberikan respons imun tertinggi setelah uji tantang,
pertumbuhan ikan. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of citral supplementation in feed on the immune system of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in the prevention of Motile Aeromonas Septicemia (MAS) caused by Aeromonas hydrophila. The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments: K- (negative control), K+ (positive control), C100, C150, and C200, each containing 0, 100, 150, and 200 mg/kg of citral, respectively. Observed parameters included physiological parameters and growth performance. The results showed that treatment with 100 mg/kg citral produced the highest immune response after challenge, indicated by a significant increase in total leukocytes, phagocytic activity, and respiratory burst. Based on physiological parameters and growth performance, 100 mg/kg citral was identified as the optimal dose for the use as an immunostimulant. In addition, an evaluation is needed on the long-term effects of citral use on fish growth. |
