| dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dinamika vegetasi mangrove, tingkat kerentanan wilayah pesisir, dan menentukan prioritas lokasi rehabilitasi di Kabupaten Indramayu, Jawa Barat. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah pembangunan dan tekanan antropogenik yang menyebabkan dampak pada wilayah pesisir, termasuk ekosistem mangrove yang berperan penting dalam penyerapan karbon, perlindungan pesisir, dan pencapaian salah satu poin Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs). Indonesia, sebagai pemilik 20% dari total mangrove dunia, mengalami kehilangan signifikan akibat konversi lahan untuk tambak, pertanian, dan pemukiman. Kabupaten Indramayu, dengan garis pantai sepanjang 114 km, dipilih sebagai lokasi penelitian karena tingginya tingkat penurunan mangrove di wilayah tersebut. Metode penelitian meliputi pengolahan data citra satelit Landsat untuk pemetaan perubahan vegetasi mangrove menggunakan Google Earth Engine (GEE), serta analisis parameter geomorfologi, perubahan garis pantai, kenaikan muka air laut, kelerengan pesisir, gelombang, pasang surut, batimetri, dan kerapatan mangrove. Data dianalisis menggunakan indeks kerentanan pesisir (Coastal Vulnerability Index) dan indeks kerentanan ekosistem mangrove (Mangrove Vulnerability Index). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penginderaan jauh dan pengolahan menggunakan perangkat lunak seperti ArcGIS, ENVI, dan MIKE21. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa vegetasi mangrove di Indramayu mengalami dinamika dengan penurunan signifikan sebesar 494,16 hektar selama periode 1991-2001 akibat alih fungsi lahan, diikuti oleh pemulihan sebesar 1,30 hektar pada 2001-2011 dan 111,47 hektar pada 2011-2021 berkat upaya rehabilitasi. Berdasarkan analisis CVI, wilayah pesisir Indramayu didominasi oleh kelas sangat rentan, terutama di Kecamatan Pasekan dan Cantigi, yang dipengaruhi oleh abrasi, kenaikan muka air laut sebesar 3,96 mm/tahun, dan geomorfologi yang didominasi oleh budaya laut. Sementara itu, hasil analisis MVI menunjukkan bahwa wilayah pesisir mayoritas masuk ke dalam kategori rentan rendah. Integrasi CVI dan MVI melalui metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) menghasilkan tiga tingkat prioritas rehabilitasi: Prioritas I, yang membutuhkan penanaman mangrove secara intensif dan pembangunan APO; Prioritas II, yang fokus pada rehabilitasi berbasis masyarakat; dan Prioritas III, yang mengutamakan pemantauan dan perlindungan berkelanjutan. Rekomendasi arahan mencakup pendekatan terpadu 3M (Memulihkan, Meningkatkan, Mempertahankan), yang diadaptasi dari Badan Restorasi Gambut dan Mangrove (BRGM), dengan penekanan pada partisipasi masyarakat, kebijakan tata ruang, dan teknologi pemantauan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi ilmiah dalam pengelolaan pesisir berkelanjutan dan mitigasi perubahan iklim, serta menjadi acuan bagi pemangku kepentingan dalam merencanakan rehabilitasi wilayah pesisir secara efektif di Kabupaten Indramayu. | - |
| dc.description.abstract | This study aims to analyze the dynamics of mangrove vegetation, assess the vulnerability of coastal areas, and prioritize rehabilitation sites in Indramayu Regency, West Java. The background of this research is driven by development and anthropogenic pressures that impact coastal regions, including mangrove ecosystems, which play vital roles in carbon sequestration, shoreline protection, and achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Indonesia, holding 20% of the world's mangroves, has experienced significant loss due to land conversion for aquaculture, agriculture, and settlements. Indramayu Regency, with a 114 km coastline, was selected as the research site due to high rates of mangrove decline in the area. The research methodology includes satellite imagery processing of Landsat data for mangrove vegetation change mapping using Google Earth Engine (GEE), along with geomorphological parameter analysis, shoreline changes, sea level rise, coastal slope, wave dynamics, tides, bathymetry, and mangrove density. Data analysis employed the Coastal Vulnerability Index (CVI) and Mangrove Vulnerability Index (MVI). Data collection involved remote sensing and processing with software such as ArcGIS, ENVI, and MIKE21. The findings indicate that mangrove vegetation in Indramayu experienced significant dynamics, with a reduction of 494.16 hectares between 1991 and 2001 due to land conversion, followed by recovery of 1.30 hectares from 2001 to 2011 and 111.47 hectares from 2011 to 2021 owing to rehabilitation efforts. CVI analysis revealed that the coastal areas of Indramayu are predominantly highly vulnerable, especially in Pasekan and Cantigi districts, influenced by erosion, sea level rise of 3.96 mm/year, and geomorphology dominated by marine culture. Conversely, MVI analysis classified most coastal areas as low vulnerability. The integration of CVI and MVI through the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) resulted in three priority levels for rehabilitation: Priority I, requiring intensive mangrove planting and the construction of coastal protection structures; Priority II, focusing on community-based rehabilitation; and Priority III, emphasizing ongoing monitoring and protection. Recommendations include a comprehensive 3M approach (Restore, Improve, Maintain), adapted from the Peat and Mangrove Restoration Agency (BRGM), emphasizing community participation, spatial policy, and monitoring technology. This research contributes scientifically to sustainable coastal management and climate change mitigation, serving as a reference for stakeholders in planning effective coastal rehabilitation in Indramayu Regency. | - |
