Abstract: Ikan lele (Clarias sp.) termasuk ke dalam jenis ikan air tawar yang digemari sebagai ikan konsumsi oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Ikan lele yang dipelihara pada kegiatan budidaya umumnya menggunakan kepadatan tebar yang tinggi. Hal tersebut dapat menyebabkan penurunan kualitas air dengan cepat dan meningkatkan stres pada ikan lele yang mengakibatkan timbulnya serangan penyakit oleh infeksi bakteri patogen pada ikan lele. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengisolasi dan mengidentifikasi bakteri patogen potensial penyebab penyakit dan kematian pada benih ikan lele yang dipelihara di Kolam Pendederan Babakan, Kecamatan Dramaga, Kabupaten Bogor, Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini mencakup pengambilan sampel, pengamatan gejala klinis, isolasi bakteri, identifikasi bakteri, dan analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya tiga isolat bakteri patogen potensial, yakni Aeromonas hydrophila, Aeromonas salmonicida, dan Edwardsiella tarda.
Catfish (Clarias sp.) is a popular freshwater fish consumed by Indonesian people. Catfish mostly is cultured with high stocking densities. This can cause a rapid decline in water quality and increase stress in catfish which results in disease attacks by pathogenic bacterial infections in catfish. This study aims to isolate and identify potential pathogenic bacteria that cause disease and death in catfish juvenile reared at the Babakan Nursery Pond, Dramaga District, Bogor Regency, West Java. This research included sampling, observation of clinical symptoms, isolation of bacteria, identification of bacteria, and data analysis. The results of the study showed three isolates of potential pathogenic bacteria, namely Aeromonas hydrophila, Aeromonas salmonicida, and Edwardsiella tarda.
