dc.description.abstractKegiatan pemanenan kayu merupakan aktivitas berisiko tinggi yang melibatkan interaksi manusia, alat berat, dan lingkungan kerja, sehingga berpotensi menyebabkan kecelakaan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi bahaya, melakukan penilaian risiko, dan menyusun strategi pengendalian risiko pada kegiaan pemanenan kayu di Perusahaan X. Metode yang digunakan adalah Job Safety Analysis (JSA) untuk identifikasi bahaya dan matriks risiko untuk penilaian risiko berdasarkan parameter likelihood dan consequence. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 21 potensi bahaya dalam tahapan pemanenan kayu (penebangan, pembagian batang, penyaradan, dan pengangkutan) dengan tingkat risiko mulai dari rendah, sedang, hingga tinggi. Risiko tertinggi berasal dari tahapan penebangan akibat kickback pada chainsaw, sementara risiko yang paling sering terjadi disebabkan oleh ketidakpatuhan pekerja dalam penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD). Penelitian ini menekankan perlunya pengendalian risiko yang disusun berdasarkan hierarki pengendalian termasuk peningkatan pengawasan, edukasi keselamatan kerja, dan evaluasi terhadap kelayakan APD untuk meminimalkan risiko kecelakaan kerja dan membangun lingkungan kerja yang aman.-
dc.description.abstractTimber harvesting is a high-risk activity involving interactions between humans, heavy equipment, and the work environment, which can potentially lead to occupational accidents. This study aims to identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and develop risk control strategies in timber harvesting activities at Company X. The method used is Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for hazard identification and a risk matrix for risk assessment based on likelihood and consequence parameters. The results indicated 21 potential hazards in timber harvesting stages (felling, bucking, skidding, and hauling) with risk levels ranging from low, moderate, to high. The highest risk was found in the felling stage due to chainsaw kickback, while the most frequent risks occurred due to workers’ non-compliance in using personal protective equipment (PPE). This study emphasizes the need for risk controls designed according to the hierarchy of controls, including increased supervision, safety education, and evaluation of PPE adequacy to minimize occupational accident risks and create a safer work environment.-
