Abstract: Penggunaan pakan komersil bersumber dari bahan baku impor yang menyebabkan harga pakan semakin meningkat. Analisis data mengggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA).
The use of commercial feed is composed of imported raw materials such as meat bone meal and soybean meal. Formulation of local feed ingredients is an alternative solution to maintain supply stability and feed production. This study aimed to analyze the effect of using local feed ingredients with the addition of Indigofera leaves on the performance of laying quail. The study used 160 quails aged 7 weeks. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replicates with each replicate consisting of 10 quails. The formulation consisted of two iterations using levels of 13%, 16%, and 19% first iteration and levels of 6%, 9%, and 12% second iteration. Parameters observed consisted of egg weight, daily egg production, feed consumption, feed conversion, and mortality. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results showed that the use of local feed ingredients showed a decrease in the aspects of egg weight, daily egg production, feed consumption, and feed conversion. It was concluded that feed sourced from local ingredients has not been able to match the performance of commercial feed.
