Abstract: PT X merupakan perusahaan multinasional manufaktur otomotif, penghasil komponen-komponen rem. PT X mengadopsi prinsip-prinsip Toyota Production System dalam menjalankan proses produksinya. Kondisi aktual menunjukkan proses packing produk rem kendaraan roda dua pada Lini Packing J0 Production 2, masih terdapat pemborosan (muda) jenis motion. Proyek akhir ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui elemen dan waktu kerja aktual kondisi terkini proses packing produk FR. Caliper Assy (2) mengukur waste yang mempengaruhi waktu siklus (3) merancang upaya perbaikan guna mengurangi waste. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan lean manufacturing yakni analisis pengukuran waktu kerja, analisis pemborosan, dan analisis ECRS untuk mencapai tujuan. Hasil dari usulan perbaikan dengan metode terpilih yaitu eliminate dan simplify pada aktivitas pemborosan, diasumsikan dapat diperoleh penghematan waktu kerja sebesar 7,38 detik per siklusnya (10 pcs/case).
PT X is a multinational automotive manufacturing company that produces brake components. PT X adopts the principles of the Toyota Production System in operating its production processes. The actual condition shows that two-wheeled brake packing process on J0 Packing Line Production 2, still contains waste motion activity (Muda). The objectives of this final project are (1) to identify the current condition of working elements and cycle time of the FR. Caliper Assy packing process (2) to measure the waste contribution within its cycle time (3) to create improvement proposal to reduce waste. This research uses lean manufacturing approach including time and motion study, waste analysis, and ECRS analysis to achieve the objectives. The result of the proposed improvements using the selected methods eliminate and simplify on wasteful activities, are assumed resulted in 7,38 seconds of work time saved per cycle (10 pcs/case).
