| Abstract: | Denisoni Barb golden (Sahyadria denisonii) merupakan ikan hias bernilai
menganalisis pola pewarisan fenotip golden melalui persilangan berpasangan
The golden Denison barb (Sahyadria denisonii) is a high-value ornamental fish with limited availability in the market. To increase the production of fish with the golden phenotype, this study aimed to analyze the inheritance pattern of body color phenotypes resulting from paired crossbreeding between male and female broodstock with golden and non-golden phenotypes. The crossing scheme consisted of golden × golden (GG) pairs and reciprocal crosses: golden × non-golden (GN) and non-golden × golden (NG). Phenotypic color analysis was conducted using digital image processing with Adobe Photoshop CS4, and inheritance patterns were statistically analyzed using the chi-square test based on Mendelian genetics at a 95% confidence level. Results showed that the inheritance of the golden color followed Mendelian assumptions in GG crosses, producing 22.4% golden phenotype offspring (p > 0.05). In GN crosses, 100% of the offspring were non golden, suggesting that the normal female broodstock was homozygous. The phenotypic ratio of golden color in Denison barb showed a shift after the 90th day of rearing, possibly influenced by epistasis or gene-environment interactions. |
