Access to clean water remains a critical challenge, particularly in regions lacking centralized water supply and electricity infrastructure. Rainwater offers considerable potential as an alternative to conventional surface water sources. However, its quality frequently fails to meet established standards for clean and drinking water. This study aimed to design a rainwater purification system and assess water quality before and after treatment using a reverse osmosis process. The methodology involved the design and construction of a purification unit comprising pre-treatment, reverse osmosis membrane, and post-treatment stages, powered by solar panels with battery storage. The system has a capacity of 17.27 m³ per year, sufficient to meet the annual drinking water needs of 23 individuals and the clean water needs of one person. Laboratory analysis confirmed the system's effectiveness in reducing turbidity and heavy metal concentrations, increasing pH to acceptable levels, and complying with clean water standards as well as 18 out of 19 drinking water quality parameters, with the exception of residual chlorine.-
