| dc.description.abstract | Pengendalian persediaan bahan kemas menjadi elemen vital dalam menjamin kelancaran proses produksi, khususnya pada industri farmasi yang beroperasi secara berkelanjutan. PT XYZ mengalami kelebihan persediaan (overstock) bahan kemas utama berupa tutup botol plastik, yang berdampak pada efisiensi ruang penyimpanan dan peningkatan biaya penyimpanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan jumlah dan waktu pemesanan bahan kemas yang optimal menggunakan metode Material Requirement Planning (MRP) dengan pendekatan Lot for Lot (LFL), Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), dan Period Order Quantity (POQ). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa metode LFL memberikan total biaya persediaan terendah selama periode enam bulan sebesar Rp4.528.875 dibandingkan dengan biaya aktual perusahaan sebesar Rp21.769.211 Dengan demikian, metode LFL direkomendasikan sebagai strategi pengendalian persediaan yang efisien untuk bahan kemas utama di perusahaan ini. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Inventory control of packaging materials is a crucial element in ensuring a smooth production process, especially in the continuously operating pharmaceutical industry. PT XYZ faces overstocking of primary packaging materials—specifically plastic bottle caps—which reduces storage efficiency and increases storage costs. This study aims to determine the optimal order quantity and timing for packaging materials using Material Requirement Planning (MRP) with Lot for Lot (LFL), Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), and Period Order Quantity (POQ) approaches. The results show that LFL provides the lowest total inventory cost over six months, amounting to Rp4,528,875 compared to actual company cost at Rp21,769,211. Therefore, the LFL method is recommended as an efficient inventory control strategy for key packaging materials in the company. | |
