Hydroponics is a plant cultivation technique that uses water as the growing medium while ensuring the fulfillment of plants’ nutritional needs. This study aims to optimize the production of green lettuce, romaine lettuce, pakcoy, and pagoda mustard at PT Dewa Alam Hidroponik, using a linear programming approach with the assistance of POM-QM for Windows. The main issue faced by the company is the suboptimal utilization of available production resources and the inability to fully meet market demand, resulting in less-than-optimal profit. The data used in this research includes the capacity of production resources such as seeds, nutrient solution, rockwool, planting holes, labor, and the market demand of vegetables. Based on the optimization results, the proposed production combination can increase total profit from Rp7.774.646,91 in the actual condition to Rp9.355.648,00 in the optimal condition, with an increase in total production from 1.300 units to 1.575 units. Sensitivity analysis indicates that several constraints, such as maximum demand and planting space capacity, are critical in achieving the optimal solution. |
