| dc.description.abstract | Bogor City has significant potential to develop a structured waste management system starting from Reduce Reuse Recycle (3R) stations to a Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) unit, supporting the implementation of a circular economy. This study aims to redesign the facility layout for both the 3R site and RDF unit. The Computerized Relationship Layout Planning (CORELAP) method was used to determine the proximity relationships between activities, while SketchUp was utilized to visualize the layout in two and three dimensions. The average waste inflow from 30 3R stations is 21.3 tons per day, consisting of both organic and inorganic waste. Organic waste is processed using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae, while inorganic waste such as PP, PE, and PET plastics is shredded into RDF feedstock. The RDF unit, with a design capacity of 11.38 tons per day, processes this feedstock into an alternative fuel. The proposed layout requires 200 square meters for the 3R facility with 12 activity areas and 449 square meters for the RDF unit with four main work areas. The layout design was validated by the project partner and considered effective in supporting efficient workflow, with strong potential for implementation in sustainable and circular urban waste management systems. | - |
