The agricultural sector has played a vital role in the economies of ASEAN member countries, particularly in supporting food and security and providing employment for a large portion of population. However, labor productivity in this sector has remained highly unequal across countries. This study aimed to provide an overview of agricultural labor productivity in eight ASEAN member states and to analyze each country’s position along with the influencing factors. The majority of ASEAN countries were found to occupy low productivity positions. A panel data regression method using the Random Effect Model was selected as the best model to test the influence of variables such as the Human Development Index (HDI), Producer Price Index (PPI), Gross Fixed Capital Formation (GFCF), foreign aid, agricultural land area, and a dummy for the Covid-19 on labor productivity. The result revealed that HDI, GFCF, agricultural land area, and the covid-19 dummy had positive and significant impact on agricultural labor productivity, while the PPI and foreign aid showed no significant.
