| Abstract: | Perkembangan sektor industri menjadi pilar utama dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional. The development of the industrial sector has become a key pillar in driving national economic growth. As the administrative and economic center of Indonesia, the Province of DKI Jakarta faces its own unique challenges. Despite being recognized as a hub of business and economic activity, the city continues to grapple with issues of economic inequality. This research aims to analyze the dynamics of micro and small industries concerning their contributions to the regional economy and employment absorption in the DKI Jakarta province. The analytical methods employed include descriptive analysis and panel data regression. Based on the panel data regression estimates, it is found that variables such as the number of micro and small industries, output value, and provincial minimum wage significantly affect Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) and employment absorption in DKI Jakarta province during the period 2017-2022. Micro and small industries in DKI Jakarta province require increased attention regarding both quality and quantity enhancement. Policies such as training programs and capital investment are necessary to facilitate better access and further improve the economy. Enhanced quality of micro and small industries will lead to increased employment opportunities as well. |
