Pests are one of the plant disturbing organisms that are an important factor that needs to be considered in oil palm plantations. One type of pest that can damage oil palm plants is the horned beetle (Oryctes rhinoceros L.) because it can reduce yields by 69% during the first harvest and can cause death by 25% in immature plants. This study aims to analyze the effect of effective ferotrap placement distance on the capture of horned beetle pests and analyze the effective ferotrap placement distance in capturing horned beetle pests. The results showed that at a distance of 150 m was the most catch with a total catch of 84 tails followed by a distance of 75 m with a total catch of 45 tails and a distance of 0 m with a total catch of 37 tails. The results of the F test showed a significant difference at a distance of 150 m from the collection road. however. based on these results it can be concluded that at a distance of 150 m it is more effective to apply. |
