Abstract: Pasar ikan hias di Indonesia memiliki potensi ekonomi yang tinggi, khususnya pada ikan guppy Poecilia reticulata jantan yang memiliki warna lebih menarik dan nilai jual lebih tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dosis terbaik dalam maskulinisasi larva ikan guppy melalui teknik perendaman. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan, K = 0 mg L-1, P1 = 5 mg L-1, P2 = 10 mg L-1, P3 = 15 mg L-1 dengan masing masing 3 kali ulangan. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan larva ikan guppy yang berusia 10 hari yang direndam dalam media pemeliharaan yang diberi penambahan simplisia seledri dengan dosis berbeda selama 8 jam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan simplisia seledri secara signifikan berpengaruh nyata terhadap presentase ikan guppy jantan sebesar 63,33% (P3), namun pada parameter sintasan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) antar semua perlakuan. Sintasan larva ikan guppy tertinggi ditunjukkan pada perlakuan kontrol (K) sebesar 100%, sedangkan terendah ditunjukkan pada perlakuan dosis 15 mg L-1 (P3) sebesar 86%.
The ornamental fish industry in Indonesia presents substantial economic opportunities, especially for male guppies Poecilia reticulata, which are favored for their vibrant coloration and higher market value. This study evaluates the optimal dosage of celery Apium graveolens simplicia for inducing masculinization in guppy larvae via immersion. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was employed, consisting of four treatment groups, K = 0 mg L-1, P1 = 5 mg L-1, P2 = 10 mg L-1, P3 = 15 mg L-1 replicated three times. Ten-day-old guppy larvae were immersed for 8 hours in media containing varying concentrations of celery simplicia. Results demonstrated that celery simplicia significantly influenced the proportion of male fish, with the highest masculinization rate (63,33%) observed at 15 mg L?¹ (P3). Conversely, there was not significantly affected (P>0,05), although the highest survival (100%) was recorded in the control group and the lowest (86%) in P3.
