| dc.description.abstract | MUTAMMIMUL ULA. Pengaruh Intervensi Jus Buah Naga-Semangka terhadap VO2max, Jumlah Leukosit dan Denyut Nadi Pemulihan pada Atlet Sepakbola. Dibimbing oleh HADI RIYADI dan BUDI SETIAWAN. Atlet sepakbola rentan mengalami stres oksidatif dan kelelahan akibat latihan fisik yang berat seperti penumpukan radikal bebas akibat latihan fisik, kehilangan elektrolit yang keluar melalui keringat dan produksi asam laktat yang berlebihan pada otot. Efek ini dapat meningkatkan denyut nadi, kelelahan pada otot, dan memperlambat proses recovery, serta risiko gangguan kesehatan pada kardiovaskular. Kandungan gizi pada buah semangka diyakini memiliki efek ergogenik seperti sitrulin dan mineral lainnya. Selain itu, senyawa bioaktif pada buah naga merah dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber antioksidan eksogen. Sehingga, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh jus kombinasi buah semangka dan naga merah (jus segam) terhadap nilai VO2max, jumlah leukosit dan denyut nadi pemulihan pada atlet. Desain penelitian yakni quasi eksperimental dengan rancangan non- randomized with control group pre-posttest design. Subjek penelitian merupakan atlet sepakbola SMANOR Tadulako yang dibagi kedalam kelompok kontrol dan segam. Penarikan contoh dilakukan dengan teknik total sampling dan pembagian kelompok dilakukan secara matching ordinal dengan rumus ABBA. Durasi intervensi dilakukan selama 14 hari dengan pemberian sebanyak 690 ml jus segam pada kelompok segam. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi karakteristik subjek, tingkat aktivitas fisik, asupan makanan, VO2max dan jumlah leukosit, sedangkan denyut nadi (PR) yang diambil pada tiga titik waktu berbeda yakni (PR1, PR3, dan PR5). Analisis statistik yang digunakan meliputi uji normalitas menggunakan uji Shapiro-wilk dan uji beda yakni paired t-test dan independent t-test. Kelompok segam mengalami peningkatan nilai VO2max secara signifikan (?t= 2.9 ± 2.65, p=0,011) setelah intervensi, sedangkan kelompok kontrol tidak mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan (?t= -0.8 ± 1.31, p=0,105) setelah intervensi dilakukan. Uji independent t-test menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan nilai VO2max yang signifikan (p=0,002) antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok segam setelah pemberian jus segam dengan peningkatan VO2max terjadi pada kelompok segam. Pada pengukuran jumlah leukosit, terjadi penurunan pada kelompok kontrol (?t= -1,01 ± 1,63, p=0,099), nilai ini lebih rendah jika dibandingkan dengan penurunan yang dialami kelompok segam (?t = -1,16 ± 2,20, p=0,154) setelah intervensi, namun tidak terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna terhadap penurunan jumlah leukosit antar kelompok (p=0,878) setelah pemberian jus segam. Pada denyut nadi pemulihan, kelompok kontrol mengalami penurunan yang signifikan pada PR3 (?t3 = -8, p=0,029), sedangkan PR1 dan PR5 justru mengalami peningkatan (?t1 = 0,67, p=0,744) dan (?t5 = 3,78, p=0,068). Berbeda dengan kelompok segam, terjadi penurunan denyut nadi pada tiga titik waktu pengukuran (?t1 = -6,1 p=0,005, ?t3 = -13,1 p=0,001, ?t5 = -4,3 p=0,056) dengan perbedaan yang signifikan terjadi pada PR1 dan PR3. Uji Independent t-test menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada PR1 (p=0,017 dan PR5 (p=0,007) antar kelompok, sedangkan PR3 (p=0,214) tidak memiliki perbedaan yang bermakna antar kelompok. Kesimpulannya, terdapat pengaruh konsumsi jus segam terhadap peningkatan nilai VO2max dan pemulihan denyut nadi pada atlet sepakbola, namun tidak terdapat pengaruh terhadap penurunan jumlah leukosit. Potensi jus segam dapat dimaksimalkan dengan modifikasi dosis maupun durasi intervensi yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi fisiologis atlet sepakbola. | - |
| dc.description.abstract | MUTAMMIMUL ULA. The Effect of Dragon Fruit-Watermelon Juice Intervention on VO2max, Leukocyte Count and Pulse Recovery in Football Athletes. Supervised by HADI RIYADI and BUDI SETIAWAN. Football athletes are prone to experiencing oxidative stress and fatigue due to heavy physical exercise, such as the buildup of free radicals due to physical exercise, loss of electrolytes through sweat and excessive production of lactic acid in the muscles. This effect can increase the pulse rate, muscle fatigue, and slow down the recovery process, as well as the risk of cardiovascular health problems. The nutritional content of watermelon is believed to have an ergogenic effect, such as citrulline and other minerals. Apart from that, the bioactive compounds in red dragon fruit can be used as a source of exogenous antioxidants. Thus, this study aims to examine the effect of a combination of watermelon and red dragon fruit juice (segam juice) on VO2max, leukocyte count and recovery pulse rate in athletes. The research design is quasi-experimental with a non-randomized design with control group pre-posttest design. The research subjects were SMANOR Tadulako football athletes who were divided into control and team groups. Sampling was carried out using a total sampling technique and group division was carried out using ordinal matching using the ABBA formula. The duration of the intervention was 14 days with the administration of 690 ml of segam juice to the segam group. The collected data included subject characteristics, physical activity levels, dietary intake, VO2max, and leukocyte count. Pulse rate (PR) was measured at three different time points: PR1, PR3, and PR5. Statistical analyses included normality testing using the Shapiro-Wilk test and comparative analysis using paired t-tests and independent t-tests. The segam juice group showed a significant increase in VO2max values after the intervention (?t = 2.9 ± 2.65, p=0.011), while the control group did not show a significant increase (?t = -0.8 ± 1.31, p=0.105). The independent t-test revealed a significant difference in VO2max values between the control and segam groups after the intervention (p=0.002), with the increase occurring in the segam group. In terms of leukocyte count, a decrease was observed in the control group (?t = - 1.01 ± 1.63, p=0.099), which was lower than the decrease observed in the segam group (?t = -1.16 ± 2.20, p=0.154). However, there was no significant difference in leukocyte reduction between the two groups (p=0.878) following the segam juice intervention. For heart rate recovery, the control group showed a significant decrease at PR3 (?t3 = -8, p=0.029), where as PR1 and PR5 showed increases (?t1 = 0.67, p=0.744; ?t5 = 3.78, p=0.068). In contrast, the segam group experienced a decrease in pulse rate at all three time points (?t1 = -6.1, p=0.005; ?t3 = -13.1, p=0.001; ?t5 = -4.3, p=0.056), with significant differences observed at PR1 and PR3. The independent t-test indicated significant differences between groups at PR1 (p=0.017) and PR5 (p=0.007), while PR3 (p=0.214) showed no significant difference between groups. In conclusion, the consumption of segam juice had an effect on improving VO2max and pulse rate recovery in football athletes, but it did not have a significant effect on leukocyte count reduction. The potential of segam juice could be further optimized by adjusting the dosage or duration of the intervention according to the physiological conditions of football athletes. | - |
