| dc.description.abstract | Cabai rawit merah merupakan tanaman hortikultura yang banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat. Persilangan antara cabai rawit merah dan cabai super pedas dapat menjadi solusi dalam meningkatkan tingkat kepedasan, adaptabilitas, dan produksi tinggi pada cabai rawit super pedas. Keragaman genetik yang tinggi pada populasi F2 dapat digunakan dalam seleksi untuk dilanjutkan ke generasi selanjutnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi keragaman genetik dan seleksi populasi F2 Capsicum frutescens x Capsicum chinense. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari bulan September 2024 hingga bulan April 2025 di CV. Benih Dramaga, Bogor, Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menanam 4 populasi F2 Capsicum frutescens x Capsicum chinense yaitu F2 Bonita X Carolina, F2 Shadiva X Carolina, F2 (F5 RJHL X HIYUNG) X Carolina, dan F2 Sret X Carolina, serta 5 genotipe tetua yaitu Bonita, Shadiva, F5 RJHL X HIYUNG, dan Sret, dan Carolina Reaper. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Augmented. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa koefisien keragaman genetik luas dimiliki oleh karakter tinggi tanaman, tinggi dikotomus, diameter batang, lebar tajuk, diameter buah, panjang tangkai buah, tebal daging buah, bobot buah satuan, panjang daun, lebar daun, dan panjang tangkai daun. Genotipe F2 Capsicum frutescens x Capsicum chinense yang memiliki tingkat kepedasan paling tinggi yaitu F2 Bonita X Carolina dengan kepedasan sekitar 339.300-461.400 SHU. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Red cayenne pepper is a horticultural crop that is widely used by the community. Crossbreeding between red cayenne pepper and super hot chili pepper can be a solution in increasing the level of spiciness, adaptability, and high production in super hot chili pepper. High genetic diversity in the F2 population can be used in selection to be continued to the next generation. This study aims to evaluate the genetic diversity and selection of the F2 population of Capsicum frutescens x Capsicum chinense. The study was conducted from September 2024 to April 2025 at CV. Benih Dramaga, Bogor, West Java. This study planted 4 F2 populations of Capsicum frutescens x Capsicum chinense namely F2 Bonita X Carolina, F2 Shadiva X Carolina, F2 (F5 RJHL X HIYUNG) X Carolina, and F2 Sret X Carolina, as well as 5 parental genotypes namely Bonita, Shadiva, F5 RJHL X HIYUNG, and Sret, and Carolina Reaper. This study used an Augmented Complete Block Design. The results showed that the broad genetic diversity coefficient was found in plant height, dichotomous height, stem diameter, crown width, fruit diameter, fruit stalk length, fruit flesh thickness, unit fruit weight, leaf length, leaf width, and leaf stalk length. The F2 genotype of Capsicum frutescens x Capsicum chinense with the highest spiciness was F2 Bonita x Carolina with a spiciness of around 339.300–461.400 SHU. | |
