The propagation of Ulva lactuca seeds, one of the potential seaweed commodities in Indonesia, is important to develop in order to the Indonesian fisheries sector becomes more independent. Seaweed seeds from the juvenile phase until the age ready for stocking require additional nutrients in the growth process, one type of nutrient is NPK fertilizer which was chosen because of its relatively low price. The purpose of this study is to test the effect of NPK fertilizer doses of 10, 20, and 30 ppm on the growth of U. lactuca juveniles with sodium alginate substrate in an indoor system. The treatments tested were variations in NPK fertilizer doses ranging from 0, 10, 20, to 30 ppm. The results showed that the administration of various NPK fertilizer doses did not have a significant impact on growth, so the NPK fertilizer dose of 10 ppm is sufficient for use in cultivating U. lactuca juveniles.
