Abstract: Ikan lele ialah salah satu komoditas air tawar yang digemari di Indonesia dengan tingkat konsumsi yang tinggi. Namun, ketersediaan ikan lele matang gonad untuk pengembangbiakan bergantung pada musim, terutama selama musim pemijahan di musim hujan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi induksi pematangan gonad ikan lele betina menggunakan plasma darah ayam broiler betina. Ikan lele betina dengan bobot 344,21±19,78 gram disuntik dengan plasma darah ayam broiler secara intramuskular dengan perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu plasma darah ayam dengan dosis 0,5 mL/kg , 1,0 mL/kg , 1,5 mL/kg , kontrol (-) menggunakan larutan fisiologis tanpa plasma darah, dan kontrol (+) menggunakan hormon Oodev. Penyuntikan dilakukan setiap minggu selama 28 hari. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penyuntikan plasma darah ayam broiler betina dapat menginduksi pematangan gonad ikan lele sangkuriang (Clarias gariepinus) betina. Dosis terbaik diperoleh pada 1,5 mL/kg dengan hasil GSI 11,88±0,04% dan fekunditas 69.723±2.045 (P<0,05). Induksi menggunakan plasma darah ayam broiler betina tidak berpengaruh negatif terhadap kesehatan ikan lele sangkuriang betina. Plasma darah ayam dapat menjadi solusi alternatif untuk menginduksi pematangan gonad dalam mengatasi kegagalan reproduksi ikan lele betina.
Catfish is one of the most popular freshwater commodities in Indonesia with a high consumption rate. However, the availability of gonad mature catfish for breeding depends on the season, especially during the spawning season in the rainy season. This study aimed to evaluate the induction of gonadal maturation of female catfish using blood plasma of female broiler chickens. Female catfish with a weight of 344,21±19,78 grams were injected with broiler chicken blood plasma intramuscularly with the treatments used, namely chicken blood plasma at a dose of 0,5 mL/kg , 1,0 mL/kg , 1,5 mL/kg , control (-) using physiological solution without blood plasma, and control (+) using Oodev hormone. Injections were done every week for 28 days. The results showed that the injection of blood plasma of female broiler chickens can induce gonad maturation of female sangkuriang catfish (Clarias gariepinus). The best dose was obtained at 1,5 mL/kg with GSI 11.88 ± 0.04% and fecundity 69.723±2.045 grains (P < 0,05). Induction using blood plasma of female broiler chickens does not negatively affect the health of female Sangkuriang catfish. Chicken blood plasma can be an alternative solution to induce gonad maturation in overcoming female catfish reproductive failure.
