| Abstract: | Ikan mas koki merupakan ikan hias air tawar dengan permintaan pasar lokal ataupun ekspor yang cukup banyak. Kenaikan volume produksi tahun 2023 berbanding terbalik dengan nilai produksi yang diakibatkan karena pengaruh kualitas bentuk tubuh yang tidak sesuai dengan standar kualitas ikan mas koki. Tujuan penelitian terapan ini untuk mengevaluasi ketinggian air yang tepat dalam pemeliharaan benih ikan mas koki ranchu sehingga dapat meningkatkan performa bentuk tubuh serta pertumbuhan. Rancangan penelitian terapan menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan empat ulangan ketinggian air berbeda yang terdiri dari ketinggian air 15 cm (P15), 25 cm (P25) dan 35 cm (P35). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, perlakuan P25 menunjukkan hasil tingkat performa bentuk tubuh pada grade komersil (16,80%), mewah (3,77%), dan kontes (1,36%). Pertumbuhan panjang mutlak sebesar 4,01±0,06 cm, pertumbuhan bobot mutlak sebesar 6,63±0,53 g, laju pertumbuhan harian sebesar 0,15±0,00% hari-1 serta tingkat kelangsungan hidup sebesar 90,11% dengan R/C ratio yang didapatkan 1,25. Aplikasi ketinggian air pada media pemeliharaan dapat memberikan hasil optimal dengan perlakuan terbaik P25. Perlakuan tersebut menjadi perlakuan yang paling tepat dalam menghasilkan performa pertumbuhan, bentuk tubuh serta menghasilkan nilai ekonomi terbaik. The goldfish is a freshwater ornamental fish with high demand in both local and export markets. However, the increase in production volume in 2023 was inversely proportional to its production value due to poor body shape quality that did not meet goldfish quality standards. This applied research aims to evaluate the optimal water height for rearing Ranchu goldfish fry to improve body shape performance and growth. The experimental design used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with three treatments and four replications of different water heights: 15 cm (P15), 25 cm (P25), and 35 cm (P35). Based on the results, treatment P25 showed the best body shape performance with commercial grade (16.80%), fancy (3.77%), and contest (1.36%). Absolute length growth was 4.01±0.06 cm, absolute weight growth was 6.63±0.53 g, daily growth rate was 0.15±0.00% day?¹, and survival rate was 90.11%, with an R/C ratio of 1.25. Applying appropriate water height in rearing media resulted in optimal outcomes, with P25 being the best treatment. This treatment proved to be the most effective in enhancing growth performance, body shape, and achieving the highest economic value. |
