dc.description.abstractLimbah pemanenan kayu dapat terjadi karena faktor teknis seperti kesalahan arah rebah dan keterampilan operator chainsaw dalam kegiatan menebang atau karena faktor alamiah seperti cacat kayu. Bagian-bagian yang menjadi limbah terdiri dari bagian tunggak, batang utama, batang atas dan dahan. Lokasi terjadinya limbah pemanenan dimulai dari area petak tebang, TPn, dan TPK. Penelitian dilakukan di petak 122 D-1, RPH Cibinong, BKPH Tanggeung, KPH Cianjur, di Kabupaten Cianjur, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis besarnya limbah pemanenan, tingkat pemanfaatan kayu, serta persentase terjadinya unusan kayu. Metode yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling menggunakan intensitas sampling 6% dengan jumlah contoh sebanyak 211 pohon. Total limbah yang ditemukan di petak tebang adalah 16,46 m3 atau 98,56% limbah pemanenan terdapat di lokasi tersebut. Tingkat pemanfaatan pada kegiatan pemanenan ini adalah 72,08% dengan faktor eksploitasi 0,72. Unusan kayu pada penelitian ini terjadi sebanyak 114 kali dari 211 penebangan pohon. Persentase terjadinya unusan kayu adalah 54,03% yang menunjukkan bahwa semakin besar diameter pohon semakin tinggi potensi terjadinya unusan kayu. Limbah dari unusan kayu memiliki total volume 2,18 m3 yang berarti 13,24% limbah pemanenan berasal dari kerusakan ini.-
dc.description.abstractLogging residue can occur due to technical factors such as incorrect felling direction and insufficient chainsaw operator skills during logging activities, or due to natural factors such as wood defects. The parts that constitute the residue include the stump, main trunk, upper trunk, and branches.Logging waste can be found in stump site, landing site, and log yard. This research was conducted in block 122 D-1, RPH Cibinong, BKPH Tanggeung, KPH Cianjur, in Cianjur Regency, West Java Province. This study aims to analyse the volume of harvesting waste, the level of wood utilisation, and the percentage of wood loss occurrence. The method used is purposive sampling with a sampling intensity of 6%, with sample size of 211 trees. The total waste found in the stump site is 16.46 m3, indicating that 98.56% of the harvesting waste is located there. The level of utilisation in this harvesting activity is 72.08%, with an exploitation factor of 0.72. Barber chair were recorded 114 resulting in a 54,03% likelihood, indicating that the larger the diameter of the tree, the higher the potential for barber chair. Barber chair has a total volume of 2.18 m3, means 13.24% of the logging residue originates from this damage.-
