The tilapia fish commodity is a superior freshwater commodity with high prospects and potential for development in the Indonesian fisheries sector. The high demand for tilapia on the market encourages farmers to continue to increase their production. The high demand is an obstacle for farmers, such as the cultivation business, feed digestibility and the high price and use of feed. One solution provided is by using different commercial probiotics in feed. Probiotics are additional supplements consisting of a culture of microorganisms to benefit by balancing the flora of intestinal microorganisms in the digestive tract. This applied research aims to determine the value of the best commercial probiotic products with optimal doses that can increase the growth and survival of tilapia fry. The research method was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments and three replications. Treatment P0 without probiotics, P1 with probiotic MINA PRO at a dose of 15 mL/kg, and P2 with probiotic EM4 at a dose of 20 mL/kg. The results of the research showed that giving probiotics to the P2 treatment provided significant differences in length, absolute weight, survival, feed efficiency and specific growth rate, and FCR and was the best treatment compared to other treatments. |
