Xing Pet Care and Clinic selama periode Agustus hingga Oktober 2024. Data
dikumpulkan melalui pemeriksaan fisik, rekam medis pasien, dan tes antigen FPV
menggunakan rapid test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan prevalensi infeksi FPV
sebesar 11,76%, yang tergolong dalam kategori sedang. Kejadian infeksi tertinggi
This study aims to determine the prevalence, clinical signs, and mortality of feline panleukopenia virus (FPV) infection in cats treated at Xing Pet Care and Clinic during the period from August to October 2024. Data were collected through physical examinations, patient medical records, and FPV antigen testing using a rapid test. The results showed an FPV infection prevalence of 11.76%, which falls into the moderate category. The highest incidence occurred in August (83.33%), with domestic cats (75%), kittens (66.67%), and male cats (58.33%) being the most affected groups. The predominant clinical signs included diarrhea (66.67%), dehydration (58.33%), and vomiting (41.67%). Mortality reached 25%, all of which occurred in kittens. These findings indicate that FPV more frequently affects younger cats, particularly those that are unvaccinated and have lower immune protection. |
