As a result of disturbance, the ecosystem will respond by restoring its vegetation. In theory, native ecosystems can act as a source of seeds for places that have experienced ecosystem changes. This research aims to analyze the composition and diversity of soil seed bank species in GWUF, analyze the effect of soil depth on soil seed banks, and analyze changes in species composition in the regeneration of new plants after disturbances. This research was conducted in November 2024 - March 2025. The stages in this research include the process of vegetation analysis, measurement of climatic and edaphic elements of the research location, germination tests, and observations of changes in vegetation composition. The results of this research show that soil seed banks from both zones grow various types of herbs. Differences in soil depth in soil seed bank sampling were shown to show no significant differences, as seen from the results of the Mann-Whitney test in both zones which had a p-value > 0.05. Both zones experienced changes in vegetation resulting from post-disturbance regeneration.
