| dc.description.abstract | Domba merupakan salah satu komoditas ternak yang berperan dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan daging di Indonesia. Penerapan program inseminasi buatan (IB) merupakan upaya yang dilakukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan daging domba di Indonesia karena domba memiliki tingkat reproduksi yang rendah. Pengoptimalan semen cair dalam IB masih terus dikembangkan dengan menambahkan senyawa lain seperti knockout serum replacement (KOSR) dan glutamine untuk mempertahankan kualitas spermatozoa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh kombinasi KOSR dan glutamine dalam mempertahankan kualitas semen cair pada domba Garut. Penelitian ini menggunakan semen domba Garut yang ditampung menggunakan vagina buatan dan kemudian dievaluasi dalam keadaan segar atau sudah diencerkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan 3 perlakuan pengenceran, yaitu P1 = KOSR 0% + glutamine, P2 = KOSR 5 % + glutamine, dan P3 = KOSR 10% + glutamine dengan 3 kali pengulangan. Data dianalisis statistik dengan uji one-way ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT. Hasil penelitian tidak menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan pada motilitas spermatozoa (P>0,05) pada semua perlakuan yang dilakukan, namun memberikan perbedaan yang signifikan (P<0,05) pada persentase keutuhan membran spermatozoa. | - |
| dc.description.abstract | Sheep are one of the livestock commodities that play a role in fulfilling meat needs in Indonesia. The implementation of artificial insemination (AI) program is an effort made to meet the needs of sheep meat in Indonesia because sheep have low reproduction. Optimization of liquid semen in AI is still being developed by adding other compounds such as knockout serum replacement (KOSR) and glutamine to maintain spermatozoa quality. This study aims to evaluate the effect of the combination of KOSR and glutamine in maintaining the quality of liquid semen in Garut sheep. This study used Garut sheep semen collected using an artificial vagina and then evaluated in a fresh or diluted state. This study used 3 dilution treatments, namely P1 = 0% KOSR + glutamine, P2 = 5% KOSR + glutamine, and P3 = 10% KOSR + glutamine with 3 repetitions. Data were analyzed statistically with one-way ANOVA test and continued with DMRT test. The results showed no significant difference in spermatozoa motility (P>0,05) in all treatments, but gave a significant difference (P<0,05) in the percentage of spermatozoa membrane integrity. | - |
