Abstract: Ikan lele (Clarias sp.) merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan yang sering dibudidayakan secara intensif. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya banyak pembudidaya mengalami kegagalan produksi yang disebabkan oleh infeksi bakteri Edwardsiella tarda. Penggunaan fitofarmaka seperti simplisia pelepah pisang berpotensi menjadi solusi dalam mencegah infeksi bakteri tersebut dan merupakan alternatif pengganti antibiotik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dosis serbuk pelepah pisang ambon sebagai upaya pencegahan infeksi bakteri E. tarda pada ikan lele (Clarias sp.). Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan lima perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah kontrol positif (K+), kontrol negatif (K-), serbuk pelepah pisang 2% (P2), serbuk pelepah pisang 3% (P3), dan serbuk pelepah pisang 4% (P4). Ikan uji dipelihara selama 30 hari dan diberi pakan perlakuan dengan frekuensi tiga kali sehari secara at satiation, setelah itu ikan disuntik dengan bakteri E. tarda (107 CFU mL-1) pada hari ke-31 dan pemeliharaan dilanjutkan selama 10 hari. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pemberian simplisia pelepah pisang 2%, 3%, dan 4% melalui pakan dapat meningkatkan kinerja pertumbuhan, respons imun, dan kelangsungan hidup ikan lele (Clarias sp.) yang terinfeksi bakteri Edwardsiella tarda, dibandingkan dengan kontrol.
Catfish (Clarias sp.) is one of the superior commodities that is often cultivated intensively. However, in practice, many farmers experience production failures caused by Edwardsiella tarda bacterial infections. The use of phytopharmaceuticals such as banana stem simplicia has the potential to be a solution in preventing bacterial infections and is an alternative to antibiotics. This study aims to analyze the dosage of Ambon banana stem powder as an effort to prevent E. tarda bacterial infections in catfish (Clarias sp.). This study used a completely randomized design with five treatments and three replications. The treatments used were positive control (K+), negative control (K-), 2% banana stem powder (P2), 3% banana stem powder (P3), and 4% banana stem powder (P4). The test fish were maintained for 30 days and fed with treatment feed three times a day at satiation, after which the fish were injected with E. tarda bacteria (107 CFU mL-1) on the 31st day and maintenance was continued for 10 days. The conclusion of this study is that the administration of 2%, 3%, and 4% banana stem simplicia through feed can improve growth performance, immune response, and survival of catfish (Clarias sp.) infected with Edwardsiella tarda bacteria, compared to the control.
