Ferns (Pteridophyta) are a group of vascular plants that have important ecological and economic roles. This study aims to examine the diversity of terrestrial ferns in the Banten Forest Park. Sampling was carried out using the exploration method from September to December 2024. Samples were collected, preserved as herbarium specimen vouchers, and identified using vegetative and generative morphological characters. The results showed that there are 11 terrestrial fern species classified into 8 families and 9 genera. The fern families in Banten Forest Park could be recognized based on the vegetative characteristics include the type of ental, surface and color on the stalk and rachis, and the shape and size of the pinnae or punnules; and the generative characteristics include the location and shape of the sorus, the presence of indusium, and the shape of the spores. One fern species occurs in Banten Forest Park produces heterospores, while the other ten species produce homospores. Based on the literature, the ferns found in the forest park, depend on the species, can be used as vegetable, traditional medicine, and ornamental plants. Diverse species of ferns in Banten Forest Park shows that the area has potential as an important habitat for fern conservation.
