| Abstract: | Merak Hijau Jawa (Pavo muticus muticus) merupakan jenis burung asli
Nasional Ujung Kulon, Provinsi Banten. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan
metode Concentration Count, analisis habitat dengan pendekatan analisis vegetasi
serta, analisis penggunaan habitat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa populasi
Merak Hijau Jawa berjumlah 22 individu. Struktur umur Merak Hijau Jawa di
Padang Penggembalaan Cigenter berbentuk piramida terbalik dengan jumlah
dewasa dominan 60%, remaja 25%, serta anakan 15%. Nisbah kelamin jantan dan
betina 1:1,3. Padang Penggembalaan Cigenter memenuhi kebutuhan habitat Merak
Javan Green Peafowl (Pavo muticus muticus) is a native bird species of Indonesia, precisely on the island of Java. The lack of research on Javan Green Peafowl results in a lack of information on habitat conditions and its population. This study aims to identify population estimates, sex ratios, age structures, and identify habitat conditions of Javan Green Peafowl. The study was conducted in August 2024 at the Cigenter Grazing Field, Ujung Kulon National Park, Banten Province. The study was conducted using the Concentration Count method, habitat analysis with a vegetation analysis approach, and habitat use analysis. The results showed that the population of Javan Green Peafowl was 22 individuals. The age structure of Javan Green Peafowl in the Cigenter Grazing Field is in the form of an inverted pyramid with a dominant adult population of 60%, juveniles 25%, and offspring 15%. The sex ratio of males and females is 1:1.3. Cigenter Grazing Fields meet the habitat needs of the Javan Green Peafowl by providing food sources in the form of grass and bushes, drinking sources, shelter and resting places, sleeping places, shelters, dancing places and dust baths in relatively open grazing fields. |
