Abstract: Kepiting Bakau (Scylla serrata) merupakan salah satu sumber daya perikanan di Desa Teluk Bogam dan dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat setempat sebagai mata pencaharian, namun informasi biologinya sangat minim. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis biologi reproduksi kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata) pada kawasan mangrove di Desa Teluk Bogam sebagai dasar pengelolaan perikanan. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari Agustus 2024 - Januari 2025 dengan total sampel sebanyak 215 ekor (93 jantan dan 122 betina), yang merupakan hasil tangkapan nelayan menggunakan alat tangkap bubu lipat. Parameter yang diamati meliputi distribusi frekuensi panjang, hubungan lebar karapas dan bobot, faktor kondisi, nisbah kelamin, tingkat kematangan gonad, ukuran pertama kali matang gonad, indeks kematangan gonad, fekunditas dan diameter telur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nisbah kelamin kepiting bakau 0,76:1 dengan dominasi betina. Puncak pemijahan kepiting bakau diduga terjadi pada bulan November dan kepiting bakau jantan lebih cepat mengalami matang gonad dibandingkan betina. Fekunditas berkisar antara 820.858 - 2.419.923 butir telur. Tipe pemijahan kepiting bakau adalah total spawner, yaitu seluruh telur yang telah dibuahi dikeluarkan secara bersamaan.
The mud crab (Scylla serrata) is one of the fishery resources in Teluk Bogam Village and is utilised by the local community as a livelihood, but information on its biology is very limited. This study aims to analyse the reproductive biology of the mud crab (Scylla serrata) in the mangrove area of Teluk Bogam Village as a basis for fisheries management. The study was conducted from August 2024 to January 2025, with a total of 215 individuals sampled (93 males and 122 females), which were caught by fishermen using folding traps. The parameters observed included length frequency distribution, carapace width and weight relationships, condition factors, sex ratio, gonadal maturity levels, first gonadal maturity size, gonadal maturity index, fecundity, and egg diameter. The study results showed a sex ratio of 0.76:1 for mangrove crabs, with a dominance of females. The peak spawning season for mangrove crabs is estimated to occur in November, and male mangrove crabs mature gonadally faster than females. Fertility ranged from 820,858 to 2,419,923 eggs. The spawning type of mangrove crabs is total spawner, meaning all fertilized eggs are released simultaneously.
